1883 James M. Ferguson v. M.C. Goodlett Montgomery Error in Proceedings In the original suit, Ferguson bought land from his grandfather's estate. When his grandfather died he claimed that land. Goodlett also claimed the land because Ferguson had not paid his debt to him.
